WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE MARKET?
Ever since we started business in 1992, we have noticed many companies come and go. Today, with the internet, people left and right seem to be opening up "shops" and "companies" online, selling performance parts and accessories. Don't be fooled. From recent research, about 80% of the market is comprised of kids, 18 years old and younger, running websites from basements, homes and even dorm rooms.
Most of them being supplied illegally, and operating without business licenses. Here at Speedstash Motorsports Online, we know the importance of being professional. We are distributors for almost ALL of our product lines, so you can rely on us.
We value our customers, and we don't want to see anything happen to them. Don't be fooled by extremely low prices from other websites with poor design, layout, limited contact information, etc...you may be dealing with a kid, or worse, a scammer. Here are just a few things to watch out for when shopping for your performance parts:
SUSPICIOUS NAMES - The name of a company or business makes or breaks them. When you see websites like "Exotic Impressionz Kustomz" or "Drive Hella Fast Motorsports" etc. it is clear that these "companies" have not been around long. Many cities will not grant business licenses to companies with childish names such as this, so you can tell right away if you are dealing with a real business, or just some kid.
AUCTION SITES - Although some of the large online auction websites are great companies with great things to offer, watch out. Recently, there have been large acts of scamming on these kinds of websites. After all, sellers on these auction sites don't require business licenses or government approval to sell, so you never know who you're dealing with. From recent research, we have discovered that around 60-70% of shoppers on these auction sites end up with falsely advertised or used goods. Remember, some things are cheap for a reason. Even if you seem to have found a "good deal," trust your instinct, avoid the kiddy sites and auction sites as much as possible. We are an actual registered corporation and business entity operating in the United States.
SELLERS ON FORUMS - The same types of rules apply to sellers on forums or group buys, because you never know who you are dealing with. Especially when they are dealing illegally without business licenses and legal documentation.
AUTOMATED STORES - Automated storefronts mean that the company or business you are dealing with, if they are even legit, did not need to hire designers or webmasters to operate the site. This right away shows the lack of professionalism. Automated storefronts take a few minutes to create and pop up every day. In the past, con artists have opened hundreds of these shops across the web, due to the ease of opening them and creating them.
We care about your online safety.
